A shopping trip: ICON, in the city centre, is a must-go. Michelle is known for her incredible selection of international designers, as well as for her unfailing support towards Belgian designers. It’s impossible to come out of the boutique without a beautiful piece. Another great store: in the north part of the city, go take a look at Graphie Sud. Stop for croquettes: below the city centre, you have to stop for a glass of white wine and taste shrimp croquettes at Le Laboureur, a traditional Brussels bistro. Also convenient: the bar is just opposite the Margiela boutique! 108 rue de France

Sunday stroll: at the weekend, you have to go to the Marolles, the “soul of Brussels”, with its Place du Jeu de Balle where the famous flea market is held every morning. The Rue Blaes and the Rue Haute, the two main streets of the Marolles area, are known for their antiques shops. And to fully understand the Brussels way of life and its delicacies, I recommend having lunch at La Clef d’Or, on the square, and tasting one of their typical Belgian dishes.
