London designers have definitely chosen to look on the bright side of life : playing with textures and tones at Mary Katrantzou (that baby blue plastic ruffle!), optical prints at Jonathan Saunders and a major eighties revival complete with metallic jacquards and oversized mismatched earrings (we predict a sell-out) at J.W. Anderson. Our favourite looks have to be the drawings featured on Christopher Kane‘s silhouettes : if the nudes make for a definite art school vibe, we’re loving the elegant profiles sewn on to simple shift dresses and skirts – a bit surrealist, a bit Monsieur Saint Laurent, and very chic.
