Alessandro Michele deserves the award for the most dazzling spectacle with a theatrical show in a Roman necropolis in Arles for the cruise 2019. Clouds of smoke and rows of church candles bathed the space, with the soundtrack of Claudio Monteverdi’s “Vespers for the Blessed Virgin” in a gothic and ceremonial ambience. Plaid skirts, floral silk prints and tiger patterns, all the crazy Gucci ingredients that we love are there. Amen.
