It’s fashion week baby! The New York shows have just finished, and you have a little time to spare before your flight home? Fear not: Please is here to give you plenty of places to explore before you take off… with a little help from Hugo Matha, the accessories genius everyone in Paris has been talking about (as well as a certain Carine Roitfeld, ahem). Hugo took some time off following the release of his collaboration with ultra luxe glove designer Maison Causse (making winter suddenly more appealing) and spent a couple of days in New York, where he reports back with the hottest spots in the city. And found his namesake hotel! Avocado toast, sexy Brazilian ice-cream men and breathtaking views : welcome to Hugo Matha’s New York!

A bit of culture: the new Whitney Museum is a must-see ! 99 Gansevoort St

Lunch: Dimes is a perfect spot in the Lower East Side for a quick sandwich and a “Lavender Café au Lait”. 49 Canal St

Snacking: A.B. Biagi has the best gelato in New York ! Perfect for a little pause in Soho, and the owner Antonio is a very sexy Brazilian ! 235 Elizabeth St

Secret shopping spots: my favorite boutiques are Odin for interesting menswear and John Derian Boutique for knick knacks. 199 Lafayette St / 6 E 2nd St

Dinner: Omen is an authentic Japanese restaurant, where the fish and service are unbeatable. Freeman’s is also perfect for dinner on a cold winter’s day. And Bilboquet on 60th is a classic ! 113 Thompson St / Freeman Alley, Rivington St / 20 E 60th St

Drinks with a view: Hotel Hugo, my hotel..! The rooftop has the best view in town and a perfect breeze coming from the Hudson River. 525 Greenwich St
