Karl Lagerfeld and Colette are already mad about these super graphic powerful jewels. Karl even wore a Uribe piece the day of his Chanel SS15 show! Not bad for a very young brand, launched earlier this year by the these two pretty birds : Tiffany Hargraves and Sion Philips. Tiffany has worked in the accessories/jewelry industry for 10 years working at Loewe, then at Chanel’s studio with Laetitia Crahay, and more recently for Kenzo and Swarovski as a free lance. Sion has been working in advertising and is obsessed with lines and design. What a perfect alchemy! After several months travelling (California down to Peru!), observing, enjoying, being inspired, seeking for the best suppliers, they came back in London and set up Uribe. Why Uribe ? Because it’s my mum’s name and Sion finds it very graphic ! I really like Uribe’s DNA, the pieces are at the same time bold, colorful, fun and above all NEW, I’ve never seen this kind of design before. Well done!
