It’s all about shoes!

An exhibition that focuses solely on the beauty of extraordinary shoes – we’re hooked ! Start your weekend in style with the Victoria & Albert Museum’s latest show, Shoes : Pleasure and Pain, focusing on extreme footwear from all around the globe.

Over 200 pairs of shoes are presented, from 17th century platform “chopines” to gorgeous beaded Christian Dior by Roger Vivier heels, and even architect Zaha Hadid’s futuristic creations for United Nude. If most of the pairs showcased are more than dreamy – check out the famous red satin ballet shoes from the 1948 film ! – we’ll admit we’re happy to simply admire some of the more extreme pairs from afar…
